Tamagotchi Version One

I want to see how long I can keep my Tamagotchi alive, but it keeps having children even when I choose "not love" when the matchmaker asks. How do you avoid this? They only live for about 7-8 days and then become parents and I have to start all over again with the baby.
Did you connect with other compatible Tamagotchi friends? If so- then you will have a baby. You are doing the right thing- rejecting the MatchMaker, so keep on doing this.
