This could be because you've had your Tamagotchi on pause.  Pausing affects the time it takes for Tamagotchis to evolve.  This is because the Tamagotchi is made so you actually have to have your Tamagotchi going for a certain amount of time before it changes.  So don't worry!  It will change shortly!
